Obtain a License:
- To receive a license for ArcGIS Pro or ArcGIS Online, please contact gis-help@uiowa.edu and include your (or who is receiving the license) HawkID and university email if using an external email account. 
- To receive a license for ArcGIS for Desktop, please contact gis-help@uiowa.edu. NOTE: ArcGIS for Desktop licenses are handed out on an extremely limited basis as the university has ended its licensing for the software. ArcGIS for Desktop will reach end-of-life in 2026, so users are strongly encourage to switch to ArcGIS Pro.

Transferring ArcGIS Online Content:
- If you are leaving the university and would like to take your data with you, or ensure it lives on after your account is closed, ESRI has created a tool to help you do this. See here.
