The Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Community at the University of Iowa was founded in 2014 and consists of three self-governed groups. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), GIS Steering Committee, and the GIS-Users Group. 

GIS support on campus at The University of Iowa typically falls under the software package ArcGIS, from ESRI (including ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, etc.), though there are additional resources including various types of remote sensing software, available in specific computer labs. Learn more.
